Wessex Rescue are a voluntary flood and water rescue unit based in Dorset. The Unit is a nationaly listed flood rescue asset and also holds service level agreements with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services and Dorset Police.

Wessex Rescue has the capabilities to;

- Deploy powered or unpowered craft utilising our FRB 400 Flood craft and Ariancia Flood Craft. 

- Deploy rope teams made up of Level 3  Swiftwater Technicians.

-Deploy as a National Flood Asset 

Training

Our voluneteers are trained from basic water safety through to Swift Water Recue, Rescue Boats Operations and Incident Management through the DEFRA modules.

 

All volunteers complete regualar ongoing training and requalifications.
